Static calculations

Ensuring stability and serviceability in the field of overhead line construction is a central task of structural engineering. We base our calculations on customer-specific requirements and relevant standards.

New mast construction

Our range of services includes the development of individual and special pylons, standard pylon series through to the development of poles for entire lines across all voltage levels, as well as portals for transformer stations in lattice and solid-wall constructions.

Fattening stock

We offer various services for conversion or change of use requirements for existing overhead line pylons, including:

  • Conventional static calculation of the masts, taking site-specific conditions into account.
  • Structural calculations based on master elevations in accordance with the applicable standards
  • Static investigations into the use of overhead line masts for mobile phone antennas
  • Checking the stability when changing the cable, increasing the tensile stresses in the event of clearance problems or conversions and extensions
  • Creation of concepts for changes to the voltage level

If documents are missing, we also carry out natural measurements to reconstruct the existing situation.

FE analysis

For complex component analyses and unconventional connections, we use the finite element method to ensure planning reliability and the development of cost-effective results.

Foundations

We offer a wide range of implementation and design options for foundations. Extensive geotechnical knowledge and structural expertise are of crucial importance. We support you both on the basis of the technical standards for overhead line construction as well as through supplementary considerations of the Eurocode and standard literature such as EA piles for the implementation of:

  • Shallow foundations,
  • Deep foundations,
  • Special foundations,
  • site-related static checks and
  • Foundation reinforcements.

Construction

The structural analysis is implemented in the construction area.

Our designs are based on 30 years of experience in cooperation with production facilities and overhead line companies. We attach great importance to developing economical solutions. This means optimizing waste, avoiding unnecessary work during production and assembly and ensuring that the plans are easy to read.

We create our steel construction plans in 2D using BricsCAD (fully AutoCAD compatible) and thus ensure a reliable, state-of-the-art working method.

The switch to 3D-based planning is currently in the evaluation phase.

However, complete masts have already been developed in 3D.

The creation of formwork and reinforcement drawings is crucial for practical reinforcement designs for both new foundations and foundation reinforcements.
